Here in Egypt the stomach is not always friends with the bacterias that are foreign for it.
People coming here for holiday are often a bit concerned that they will get the "egyptian stomach" wich is understandable. Many brings bottles of hand sanitizers and use it before eating.
Some choose to not eat so much vegetables, since this is what we have learned; eating vegetables abroad is not a good idea.
As a vegetarian i cannot deleate the vegetables from my meals, then there would be very small meals for me.
I choose to follow my mothers advice, that its better to prepare the body and build up a good immune system so the body can rinse out the bad bacterias.
I eat what my body is used to eat to not "chock" my body. offcores i try new things, but maybee not the whole egyptian meny on the same time!
And lemon. Lemon, the best natural protection for stomach problems! and filled with so much good!
I try to drink hot water with lemon and honey every morning - on a day off morning like this - Ginseng honey!
Ginseng - it is said to be good for the metabolism, lower high blood preassure and to be a boost for your energy!
Bluberry and strawberry smoothie with soymilk and honey!
Nomnomnomnom!
Blueberry is also a good little berry, filled with antioxidant that builds up the immun system and keeps the egyptian stomach away!
Such a luxury when you can walk in the forest in Sweden and just eat as many as you want!
Here in Egypt we can by them frozen, not as tasty and a little bit expensive. But they still makes a good smoothie ;)
